Pawan Kalyan in 2014 campaigned along with Narendra Modi and Chandrababu Naidu. He stayed away during Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu's tirade against Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Special Status, the moot campaign for 2019 Elections in Andhra Pradesh.
After YSR Win in 2019 Elections, Special Status has become a non-topic. No Party is entertaining it though it was called the Panacea for all ills. Neither Chandrababu Naidu nor Pawan Kalyan asked for it after elections. They all are now united again for retention of Amaravati as Capital of Andhra Pradesh.
Pawan Kalyan's jig at becoming a ally of BJP again through his direct links with Centre leaders has not surprised election strategists for they see in this move an attempt by BJP to consolidate the Kapu Vote. This move is also timed to ensure continuity of Kanna Lakshminarayana as BJP President. This will ensure that entire BJP is filled with his team members which he has been doing since he became president. The coincidence of this emerging with expiry of Kanna's time is not lost to all.
In all probability,it would be an alliance with TDP which will take on YSR Party in 2024 like in 2014. The parties must be believing that 10 yrs is a long time and people forget the mistakes committed in past of splitting. So it will be a Coalition of TDP+BJP+CPI+CPIM+JS which will take on YSR Party. Left parties have always acted for TDP growth and are headed by members of Naidu's community. Left had its base in the Krishna-Guntur region, all of whom moved to TDP with NTR.
