Mamata Meets PM Modi on visit to WB

UPDATED:2020-01-11

Mamata Banerjee, Chief Minister of West Bengal met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his visit to Modi despite her fierce opposition to CAA&NRC. She spent 14 minutes with the Prime Minister. She called it her Constitutional Responsibility & Courtesy. Mamata demonstrated huge maturity in meeting the PM.

In Contrast, her friend Chandra Babu Naidu skipped meeting Prime Minister Modi on his visit to AP before AP elections. He had posters placed all across Andhra Pradesh mentioning "Go back Modi". He wore black dress and sat in protest. Noone from his party met the PM along with Governor. It was only BJP party members who met PM. Chandrababu asked AP people to observe that day as BLACK DAY.

PM Modi took these protests in his stride and thanked people of AP who wanted him to go back to Delhi Crown&he did it with Bumper Majority. Chandrababu was Chief Minister of AP for 14 Yrs. He had just come out from NDA over Special Category Status which was his election campaign slogan. Surprisingly since he lost election,TDP is not asking for the Special Status now and also is making all efforts to go closer to Prime Minister Modi. Chandrababu had called PM Modi his Junior.

Chandrababu is a respected administrator. He should have met PM Modi on his visit to Andhra Pradesh and expressed his Demands. He missed a great opportunity in not directly meeting him during election time.
