Government of AP had declared holidays from 29th September, but many private schools conducted full day school even on that day. Parents complaints to even DEO went unheeded.
It has been a practice for private schools in Andhra Pradesh not to bother about government set rules. Government introduced several initiatives like Fun Days& No Bag days on saturdays but they are observed in the breach in private schools.
Game periods are always sacrificed towards never completing academic syllabus. All talk of Arts, Sports in schools gets sidelined. All creative pursuit is sacrificed at the altar of rote learning. For 2 Decades, Education in Andhra Pradesh bases on rote learning which indulges repeated learning of same topic.
Hence the quality of graduates coming out from this system is bordering on mediocrity.
Alternative education schools are working well in this field giving freedom to the child to design their own schedules. They are few in numbers but follow all rules yet make education simpler and interesting.
