Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the Kedarnath shrine on Diwali day. Last year, he had visited in October before the temple closed for winter.
Kedarnath had faced big flood disaster in 2013. The tide of pilgrims has recovered and Chardham yatra has again. PM Modi had embarked on the Chardham Highway expansion project which has not gone forward with recent SC blocking of NGT go ahead.
Chardham development will have helped the region but people from those areas only have obstructed development by filing PIL. Chardham pilgrims will only increase with time not decrease. A traffic jam is causing lot of issues. Hence road expansion was the best option available for pilgrims and for the nation.
A road to Kedarnath will have ended looting by Helicopter operators. A train to Amarnath would similarly help a lot for Hindu Pilgrims. These are time tested pilgrimages and society has made it a mandatory spiritual craze. The craze is more from southern states than northern states. They have as much craze for tirupathi as south indians have for Chardham.
Kedarnath is the most powerful place in INDIA and hopefully the Gods there will help Modi achieve a NATIONALIST Bharat devoid of Foreign Forces.
