Chandrababu Naidu has introduced unemployment benefits in AP. This was a long pending demand and in the election year will yield credible benefits. IT minister for AP, Nara Lokesh clarified that 1.86 lakh applications were verified till date and tested with token amount transfer.
The government received registrations from six lakh unemployees. Unemployees holding white ration card are eligible for the benefits. The IT minister clarified that the scheme won the admiration of many and that 25th of the month will be deadline for new registrations. IT Minister said that per the Pulse Survey, there were more than 10 lakh eligible candidates.
The Chief Minister reviewed the scheme with officials.
