Schools started online classes recently during lockdown. Parents were against these classes since children and parents were already stressed during lockdown and children were learning crucial lifeskills during lockdown. After sending daily homeworks and whatsapp, schools are demanding fees for April and May online classses though they are normally covered in year fees.
Schools collect entire year fees which means till end of summer holidays- 4 terms. Now they are demanding to pay extra for online classes for forward year which they are teaching. There is no quality to the zoom classes being conducted with very weak audio signals and no picture quality. This despite central government asking to reduce zoom interactions due to security issues.
Now parents have revolted across NCR and the wave may spread across country for conducting these classes and asking parents to pay for these activities. Parents are being asked to bear the brunt of lockdown period when there were no classes and a few hrs online classes but full fees are being asked of parents. Parents are asking for waiver of these fees. Parents asked for relaxation of online classes to avoid more screen time for children that what was already the default with no other form of entertainment locked at home with tv,laptop and mobile. But schools insisted on these classes and kept calling those who did not login into these classes.
