Several States have reopened travel allowing free movement of people after 58 days in lockdown. People were afraid to move as well expecting hosilities, quarantines, etc., but in states like Andhra Pradesh, Public transport has resumed. Several other states have reopened public transport within the state.Â
Seats in buses have been marked to maintain social distancing. Only one per seat is being allowed to 2 seats on either side. So bus is traveling at only 50 percent capacity. Masks are compulsory. In Air travel, immigrants from other countries have to undergo govt/pvt quarantine after landing.Â
Families are returning to their native places for the balance of summer holidays. Schools are reopening in August in Andhra. Hence many are headed to their native places since for next two months, education will be entirely online education giving them the flexibility to study from anywhere. Even curbs on autos, etc., have been removed.Â
The government is also resuming Air Travel domestically from next week. Trains are also starting from June 1st. So economy is finally opening up. It will be months before the entire supply chain is revamped and businesses are not going to recover anywhere soon.Â
