Oil India Limited reported that in Andhra Pradesh, it had made a second natural gas discovery. K-G Basin was the site for this FIND in the block KG-ONN-2004/1. Oil India Limited stated that under the New Exploration Licensing Policy, Andhra Pradesh had been winner in the recent sixth auction.
This second find has been made at well Thanelanka-l. This well is the first high pressure-high temperature (HP-HT) well drilled by OIL and has encountered hydrocarbon bearing sand. OIL also added that the HP-HT zone was producing 1300 Cu.M per day of gas.
