Andhra Pradesh is witnessing complete shutdown till the 31st of March.
Every trade barring essential services have been shutdown. There are no temples, no tea shops, no foods. Only essential items like groceries are being allowed.
This has immediate huge economic impact, the cost of which cannot be estimated so easily, especially for day labourers and workers who already have reduced work already. In scenarios like this, the daily wage earners are the hardest hit but since their incomes are never reported, their loss does not get captured into scenario planning.
The govt needs to close the shutdown asap and allow market to take over recovery. Extended shutdown will hamper recovery.
